There are long periods of down time or telling Dad that Mom has died again. I took him to Pier 1 today and we bought some new cushions -- at least I got us out of the house.

And then we bought an Amaryllis because we always have one of them at Xmas and the one that I've been nurturing has decided not to bloom.
