I love winter; I know it's not for everyone, but I love the way the sky looks on a cloudy winter day - shades of solid grey, rolling around like great frolicking whales, just out of reach. The fog surrounds the subdued houses in a kind of desolate magic, and nothing is as it seems. The most striking thing about winter is the smell sometimes present

I have to admit, I do like that too, and I wouldn't mind seeing some of that soon! The truth is, I'm fickle and get sick of extremes really easily. I love the cold, then I get sick of it and long for summer, the smell of it, wearing cute tops and skirts, long lazy days, then it gets too hot and I yearn for cozy jumpers and tea and knitting again. And so the cycle repeats itself. Lol.
