Sokka is in the passenger seat of the car today, which means the jeep is jumping and bumping just a little bit more than usual. But the younger boy isn't a bad driver, just new to it

"Am I getting hungry? No, I'm not hungry, I think I'd like to just keep going without eating for another few hours OF COURSE I'M HUNGRY."

Apparently, a combination of driving and having time to breathe and think has restored Sokka to something of his previous self.

"One of those weird rabbitsquirrels?" he asks hopefully.

"We just had breakfast a couple hours ago!" Sokka points out, but he's laughing while he does it, grinning over at the younger boy as he sits up and nods. "I think so, yeah, they don't look too fast.

"Hunting or making up the fire?"

"That was hooours ago," Sokka points out in return, pulling over eagerly and stopping with only a little jerk. "Ummm..."

He wants to hunt, fires are boring! But the other Sokka probably wants to hunt more. Besides, Sokka-in-red kind of wants to watch Sokka-in-blue(-jeans) with his club again, because that was really awesome and Sokka-in-red is kind of vaguely regretting paying more attention to the sword lately.

"... what do you want?"

Unaware of Red-Sokka's thoughts, Blue-Sokka is sitting up and stretching and yawning and generally looking like he's ready to get out and do something other than sit in a car.

"I wanna eat - whichever lets us do that faster, I'm gonna vote for."
