Dreamer grins very, very brightly at Shay, waving from the base of the cargo liner.

"You," she declares authoritatively, loud enough to be heard even through the distance, "are fucking awesome."

"What's he like?"

[downsidedarling]

She smiles nostalgically.

"Tall. Thin. Black. Quite the sense of humour on him."

Since Shay might as well find out now as any other time, she adds, "Torturer. And yeah, people think I'm fucked up for liking him so much, but what can I say?"

...Since she doesn't actually know what she can say, Dreamer just leaves that there.

Shay just remains silent, and watchful.

Yeah, he's waiting for her to answer the question.

Uncomfortable shrug.

"Okay, so I have screwy taste in friends," she says a little defensively. "So fucking shoot me. I like the guy."

Shay just shrugs nonchalantly.
"Not my place to judge."

[downsidedarling]

"Yeah?"

She tilts her head.

"You got some weird buddies too, huh?"

"I think the little ragtag group that I'm a part of would count as really, really weird, yeah."

[downsidedarling]

"Fair enough."

Dreamer likes that phrase.

Possibly because nobody's ever asked her 'fair enough for what?'.

Shay can tell.

He just nods, agreeably.

Dreamer no longer remembers what they were talking about before Dice.

She shuffles uncertainly.

[not_a_dragon]

Shay shuffles, too, in response.

[downsidedarling]

Grin.

Dreamer turns her shuffle into a dance, just because she can.

"Just so you know," Shay says solemnly. "We can't have a dance-off."

[downsidedarling]

"Why not?"

[not_a_dragon]

"Because," Shay says. "There's no music to dance-off to. You have to have music."
