Gabriel is trotting back and forth between the kitchen and the kraken pond, feeding Spots delicious ham.

Catch him at either end.

(The trotting is partly because he hopes to encounter Steve on the way. Shhhh.)

"And has on several occasions."

This, judging by the grin, is what's technically known amongst experts as a 'lie'.

"Doctors warn against it."

"Do doctors warn against this?" he whispers, smirking.

Where 'this' translates to 'things involving Gabe's mouth and Steve's ear that should probably not be done in front or a small, impressionable kraken'.

Luckily for all involved, looks like Spots is too occupied with the ham to notice or object.

None of the doctors Steve would recommend!

It would be really nice if Steve could come out with some similarly semi-witty answer, but, well, his attention is suddenly elsewhere.

"--I hope not," he manages.

Gabe in this mood is a thing to be treasured and encouraged!

Grin!

Steve, the way your mouth looks in that icon is encouragement enough.

"Looks like we're out of ham," Gabriel says, far too innocently. "Spots, you won't mind if we leave you alone for a bit, will you?"

"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaddy," replies Spots, bubbling extensively.

One could indeed take this to mean 'I am perfectly happy to look in the other direction whilst my daddies sneak away to frighten the neighbours and leave the bedroom in a mess'.

(On the other hand, this could be wishful thinking on Steve's part.)

(If it's wishful thinking, it's wishful thinking Gabriel shares.)

Hand-tugging abounds.

Back to the creepy earth bunker to provide Gabe with a really, really good reason to change his sheets again!

(Let the record show that should opportunity rise to give him an even better reason, Stephen won't be the one to naysay it.)

(...And that another trip into town is in order. He's running out of coverstick.)

(Running out of coverstick? Oh, that's quite all right.

Gabriel has progressed to leaving bruises in areas not normally visible to the public.

He can't help it if Steve just has very biteable hips, pkay? Mmm.)
