She's out back of the Cooper house with a loop of colored string, doing complicated things to it.

This is what boredom looks like.

Also, some of those aren't physically possible for a human to produce. (Hey, if you've got arbitrarily-appearing light-tentacles, use 'em.)

Val isn't alone in the tentacley department anymore! Though Venom isn't showing off his own tendrils at the moment; instead, he's roaming the area around the Cooper house, looking for people.

His approach to looking for people, however, is a little unorthodox. Rather than stick to being on foot, he's gone to the high ground to get a better look at the area as a whole. And in this case, the high ground happens to be the house itself. Venom makes his way around the the corner of the house, looking down from the rooftop.

And there's somebody down there now. He peers downwards-and as he does, he does his usual drooling thing. Look out below?

The tiny, flickering ropelets of solid light that help Val hold her latest creation together fade off into nonexistent with a glimmering shatter, and she stretches and looks up.

"...Oh, you have got to be fucking kidding me."

"We can't help but notice no one has been particularly happy to see us. Did Spider-man beat us here?"

Venom sounds a little bit snide-but his first meetings with people lately have been less than stellar. He'd been hoping for a change of pace.

"'Kay, even if I hadn't sort of heard of you, the great big fangs are not exactly friendly, y'know? Just a thought."

She seems more exasperated than frightened or angry, however.

What? He's not attacking anyone. She doesn't feel like starting fights. New world, new rules.

"Wow. You must be really, really bored." Marley frowns as he wanders over.

"You have no idea."

She grins.

"So I met Venom earlier."

"... Okay. Did you discuss tea and cakes?"

[selflesslight]

"San Francisco. Apparently it's been taken over by fairies. Don't laugh. He's recruiting to hop down there with a bunch of heroing types and clean 'em out. You want in?"
