The roads in Kansas are, right now, the best kept roads in the world. The road approaching the Cooper Farm is no exception, and for a driver who's been struggling with a lot of snowed in roads before crossing Safe Zone borders, it's a welcome relief

[Clearly either Babs or Uncle Iroh or both should show up sometime. BUT WHEN?]

"There should be some left. I don't drink it, but enough people around here do for me to send out little expeditions to find stocks." Babs as a coffee person. Not enough caffeine in tea to stave off the headaches.

"I'd kill for some. We've been in the car all day. Those things are awesome, but they kind of hurt your gut after a while."

= Miki gets very, very carsick. IT'S NOT HIS FAULT.

"Cupboard to the left of the sink. Lowest shelf. Should be an assortment of whatever the last trip out managed to find. Kettle should be on the stove." The 'should be' is only there because people other than Babs use this kitchen. And sometimes the mess up her system. (The nerve of some people.)

"Got it." Miki inspects the teabags with suspicion, but without any particular reluctance. "Sure you don't want any?"

"Well, if you want to run the coffee maker while you're over there, I could handle another cup." Or four.

[littlemiki]

Miki leans back to look at the coffee maker, and leans over to press a button. It may or may not be the button that makes it work. Either way, it's pretty evident he doesn't have a clue what he's doing.

"Never mind," Babs calls with a small smile. "I guess you don't have these from wherever you're from, huh?"

[littlemiki]

"Water Tribe."

Miki grins at her, poking at the coffeemaker some more, curious.

[twiceahero]

"I guess I'll need to walk you through using an electric kettle, too, huh?" Babs rolls across the kitchen toward him.

[littlemiki]

"No, I got that." Miki looks slightly sheepish. "... maybe. Mostly. Sorta."

[twiceahero]

"Here." She reaches past him pick up the kettle. "Fill it with water and then just slide it into place on the base," she waves at it. "Then you flip the switch."

[littlemiki]

"I totally knew that," Miki says.

He totally didn't.

"Awesome. Thanks! ... I don't need to put it on the fire or anything?"

"The wonders of modern technology," she laughs. Something strikes her suddenly. "You want to really have your mind blown?"

[littlemiki]

"My wife's pregnant," Miki says, beaming all over his face, grin the size of the sky. "I think my mind's as blown as it gets. But sure, go ahead."

[twiceahero]

Babs grins. "Well, that is pretty mind-blowing. But... I might have a trick or two..." She eyes him in anticipation, but doesn't do anything yet.
