Jack has found books!

OK, so the pirate probably looks a bit weird, leaning back in a chair, his boots crossed on a table as he soaks up Homer's Odyssey and muches on an apple.Bt there he is.

And he's reading the Greek and the English as the pages come up, all very interested in the fact the two languages exist.

jack hollins, clark kent, tom therin, iris valentine

Oh look, a dude.

Iris waves absently from the doorway, munching on an apple.

Jack looks up when he's being watched, and almost immediately gets to his feet and opens the window.

Because his gaydar is the best in the world, and he likes women a lot.

"Hello there."

Gaydar is not required to spot Iris Valentine being a lesbian. A pair of eyes usually suffices, if there's a woman in the room.

"What's up?"

Jack leans against the windowsill, smiling amiably. "Hermes has finally persuaded Calypso to release Odysseus," he says. "A fascinating tale."

Tom is looking for food! And thus he glances at the fellow with the books. And the boots. And the clothes that look very familiar.

His face alight with hope and curiosity, Tom says, "Oi, mate - what land're you from?"

Jack glances up, and grins cheerfully, though his head tilts to find another Secret Keeper around.

"Brythony, mate. By way of the Pelaggic sea."

And Tom's face falls.

"I was..." Tom begins, but then tries again. "D'you know of Fremmanland?"

Jack shakes his head, and shuts the book.

"If I'm reading you right, you're not of my world."

He's studying Tom rather carefully.

Apples are popular. Clark will have to remember that. Maybe he should replant the orchard.

"You're another new one," he observes, stopping on his way to the bookshelves.

"That I am," Jack says. He looks up, and he smirks, shaking his head sadly.

"Jack Hollins is me."

"Nice to meet you, Jack. Clark Kent," he holds out a hand. "You talk to Lucy yet?"

"Nay," Jack says, leaning forward to take the hand, still watching Clark's face as he does.

"Should I have?"
