Sokka has been there most of the time, except when he wasn't.

Sokka is likely to remain there.

Also? He has mostly disassembled the toaster.

Nobody told him not to!

"Have you just taken the toaster apart?"

Claire walked all the way to town in barefeet! But she came back with dogfood and sneakers and actual clothes, so she's counting that as a plus.

Sokka looks up guiltily.

"Would you believe me if I said no?"

Considering Mr. Muggles is right now sniffing at the toaster suspiciously while Claire gets him some water?

"Probably not," she says. "Can you put it back together?"

"Course I can." Sokka looks confident -- and for once actually is. "I made sure I knew where all the bits went. It's just all REALLY INTERESTING!"

Hello, Sokka. Have a Gabriel! What he really wants is a shave, but if there are any razors in the bathroom then they've all been used by other people and, well, ugh. So he's wandered into the kitchen instead. ...There was totally a train of logic between points A and B there, promise.

He blinks at the toaster. ...Oh lord.

"I hope you can put that back together."

"Sure I can," Sokka says happily, surrounded by bits of wiring and heating filaments. "I paid attention. Look, this bit gets hot, and it makes the toast!"

He's only just working out how a toaster works? What is he, from some technologically-backwards tribal society?

The voice didn't quite register with Claire, so when she looks up to share amazement at Sokka's geek skills, she's smiling.

Then the smile drops utterly and she gasps in shock.

Eden warned her, but it doesn't compare to seeing him.

Taking apart Anne's her toaster.

"...why...?" asks Lucy, feeling terribly lost.

Sokka looks up and BEAMS at her. LOOK WHAT HE'S GOT!

"Hello! Look, this bit gets hot, and it makes bread hot, and crispy!"

"Toast," she says, blinking and nodding slowly.

..."My house," adds Lucy after a moment, gesturing. Because she's never seen him before, and he probably doesn't know.

"Oh!" Sokka jumps to his feet in a slightly spastic whirl of skinny limbs and gives her a less spastic bow, Fire Nation style. (He's in disguise still.)

"You're Lucy then! My name's Sokka, I was in Nooyawk, but a girl with purple hair brought us here, and -- is this your toaster?"

Jamie wanders into the kitchen and waves at the peole he doesn't know. "Uh. Hi. Anything good to eat around here?"

"There's a," Sokka grins, "re-frig-er-a-tor, that keeps all the food cold! Like the South Pole in a box!"

He waves a heating element at Jamie happily.

Sokka is a geek.

"You don't expect me to eat the refrigerator or that... thingie in your hand do you?" Jamie asked with a chuckle as he opened the door to the fridge. "Because I can't digest metal."

"No, there's food inside it," Sokka explains seriously.

He doesn't, actually, realise that this isn't news to Jamie.

"Hey, those beds, was it you who brought those in? Because comfortable! Thank you!"
