This castle was pretty impressive, Kate had found her way up to what was once the owlery as evidenced by some fossilized owl droppings and pellets that she found around as she headed up for a good view of the city. Easy to track triffids movements from here when they're out, and she was going to do patrols around to find where there might be other

"Who're you?" It's a challenging statement from a seven-year-old who has decided that, in absence of anyone else (other than paintings), she is the current King of the Castle.

O RLLY? And here Kate figured she was the current Queen.

But she smiled at the girl, and remarked, "I'm Kate, are you new here or been around?"

"I didn't say you could come here," is the reply. Complete with crossed arms.

More raising of eyebrows but she said, "The door was open, and we didn't see anybody else here besides the paintings and the ghosts."

It takes some searching but Will finds Kate and hugs her saying,

"Been talkin' to Garo, think we might try sparrin' tomorrow."

A hug back.

"Oh? Just be careful, though good idea. We all need the practice, and gotta stay in shape for attacks."

She added, "And turns out this place had a resident already. There's a girl named Laura, kind of sour, but she's ok. She knows most of this place."

"Oh aye, that's useful then. An aye, think will be good for both o'us an we'll try to na get too beat up. 'ow are ye, love?"

He traces her face and gives her a small kiss.

"Fine, got a tour around some of this already. There's bathrooms, and found the infirmary area. Definitely need that."

She did smile, and kissed him back. She felt a lot more sure of herself since coming up here. She was finding a purpose again.
