Somewhere in Lawrence, a door had slammed.
Not much longer, a bald eagle took off from a second story window of a farmhouse.
And not too long after that, there's a large, majestic eagle floating the thermals up high in the air looking for something to do, someone to save, and hopefully something to be a little violent with.
rachel (au),

Which is why Medusa is spiraling up in one, the sun glinting off her gold wings. She doesn't care if she's visible - give her another minute, and she'll be too high for anyone to bother her...

As for being visible... well, the eagle doesn't care much. It recognizes that there's something in its space, but it also recognizes that it's larger than the eagle is, isn't eatable, and, at the moment, isn't going to attack.
That's enough of a reason to let it alone.
And Rachel, who is pretty damn stunned to find a winged human flying around in the sky, retreats to the back and lets the eagle's mind take the forefront, so she can quietly boggle at the winged-freaking-human in the sky.

Luckily for all, she can't know the narration, so she just spirals and spirals, black curly hair waving in the wind. She senses the company, though, and looks up.
