Angela walks out of the plane, following Zinda. She was very nice and Angela just hoped that other people would be as friendly

"So, this is the farm." Zinda is all cheer and good mood, maybe overly so -- trying to cheer the girl up a little. "Look out for Mel. I don't think I mentioned,but she's in charge -- you can't miss her. Short, multicoloured hair, scar on her upper lip, usually she's with her twins."

Angela nods, trying to relax her face from its tense lines. It's not working very well.

"There are kids here too?"

"Yup. Bridget, she's little, and Mel's girls are Hana and Louise, and Toby who cooks a lot. Few others, too. We all look after them."

[angela_edmunds]

"That's good." She tries to breathe through the anxiety she feels. "Okay," she says softly. If little kids could deal, so could she.

"So...what should I do first?" She just needs direction for a little bit, while she gets her bearings.

"Oh, hey, I know that look." Thomas gives the new girl a welcoming smile. He even manages to keep his mouth in the right shape. "Newbie, right?"

Angela smiles shakily back. "Yes...very new. Only a few hours."

She's still clutching her bag with both hands to keep them from shaking along with the rest of her, not because of any rudeness. "I'm Angela."

Does it even matter what her surname is anymore? She's not sure.

He offers her his hand. His fingers are a little longer then should be usual, and well gloved. In fact, the only skin showing on him is his face. And he's still wearing all black, despite the heat.

"I'm Thomas, nice to meet you Angela."

She unwraps a hand from the handle of her bag to shake his hand. The gloves are strange and he must be warm in that, but she doesn't think to ask.

"Hi...it's nice to meet you, too." Someone friendly, at least. "I'm still a little shaky, so I might be a little...off."

Steph wanders out of the farmhouse, drawn by the sound of the plane. Zinda's visits are always worth a look, whether she's bringing new people or new missions or just picking up the Birds.

Oooh -- a new people!

"Hi!" She waves cheerfully, heading towards Angela.

Angela blinks. "Steph?"

She can hardly believe it. "Steph, is that you?"

Steph tilts her head to eye the new girl quizzically. Someone from Gotham, maybe?

"Yup, sure is," she says cheerfully as she approaches.

"Wow! I mean. How long have you been here? Like, I thought you couldn't leave the bar for that long."

Someone she knows. Even better, it's someone she likes.
