I've often thought that the afterlife is a moment which seems like an eternity right before you die. The cells that make up your body are dying, and your brain is slowly going too. This is when your brain just dumps all of the chemicals it produces and fires neurons non-stop. This, in effect, causes hallucinations. Time seems to stop, and you are stuck in a dream...heaven, hell, limbo, etc. Always been a theory of mine.
the entire universe is just one gigantic mass of non-linear energy systems, constantly in flux, but also never repeating; it's the reactions of these energies working amongst each other which create our situations, our lives, and every single aspect about them. which is why i have my reasons to believe that astronomy could be true, but i feel like it's too random to bring down to a science as it has been, so i'm unsure of that - but this is irrelevant.
back to what i was saying. the only evidence we see of this massive energy system is our synchronicities. when two of these random energies travel to the same place twice. our vision is a result of our human brain incapable of processing all matter in it's natural, basic form, energy.
So? Even if this is true of reality in general (which would be irresponsible to claim as objectively true), it doesn't change the relative realness of anything, meaning that the world continues to function as it always has.
