"Are you sure about it?"
Taisuke laughed softly as he switched the phone to be placed against his other ear and used his other arm to stop Kento from grabbing the phone. "Of course! You're completely welcome to come! There will quite a few people coming over too, so you can meet some new friends. I swear they're all very friendly. You won't be left alone."
Kitayama's voice came from the other end of the phone. "Are you sure though? I don't mind just dropping off Takashi..."
"You don't have to hold back so much! We already met more than a few times and I consider you my friend, so please come to my birthday party?" Taisuke said, moving again and giving Kento an angry expression at the same time when the child wouldn't stop trying to grab the phone.
"Tai-chan!" Kento whined, throwing his arms around Taisuke's waist.
Quickly, Taisuke covered the mouthpiece of the phone with his hand and looked down at Kento. "Just a little more, Kento! Then you can talk to Takashi-kun, okay?"
Kento pouted. "Be quick then! It's important!"
"Okay, I know," Taisuke said, moving his hand away from the mouthpiece to speak to Kitayama again. "So, you'll come, right, Kitayama-kun? You don't have to worry about a present. It already makes me happy to be able to celebrate my birthday with so many people."
There was a moment of silence before a sigh was heard. "If you insist then. I'll be coming over with Takashi then."
Taisuke smiled happily. "Great! Ah, um, if you don't mind, is Takashi-kun free right now? Kento seems to have something really important to tell him..."
"Oh? Sure, I'll go get him," Kitayama said.
"Thank you." Taisuke then handed the phone to Kento who quickly grabbed it. "Don't talk for too long Kento, it's getting late for you."
"Okay!" With that, Kento actually ran off, leaving the room.
"Why so secretive," Taisuke mumbled to himself. Kids can be like that though, he supposed, and as long as they weren't planning anything dangerous, he shouldn't be prying.
Sometime later, Kento ran back into his room to hand Taisuke back the phone. "I can't wait till the party!" he said with a laugh.
Taisuke smiled and patted Kento on the head. "What were you talking to Takashi-kun about? Can you tell me?"
Kento shook his head with wide eyes and placed a finger on his lips. "No! It's a secret! I'm not telling you!"
"Aww." Taisuke pouted. "Will I eventually find out though?"
"I'm not telling you!" Kento repeated. Just then, Taisuke's mother called for Kento, so he quickly gave Taisuke a hug. "Good night then, Tai-chan!"
"Good night." Taisuke returned the hug before waving at Kento, watching the boy leave again with a small amused smile on his face. Well, he supposed he'd find out what Kento was up to sooner or later.
Author's Notes: Got distracted more than a few times before I'm finally posting. >>'' Anyways, more kids!NiSen universe! Keeping this short before I get distracted again. Getting closer and closer to the end of the countdown!
