They're going to have a Heiji in the Detective Conan drama after all, and I'm really curious as to who's going to play him now, though I don't really have any preferences in mind as to who should play him.

Translations. Both Taiga and Uekusa. May 2008, talking about being the same age, same school year, some episodes that have happened between them, and come up with a fictional drama setting they want to be in. July 2009. Using the syllables in their names, they came up with their own topics to talk about, from recent events to childhood memories and such.

Classmates
The two who are classmates and get along very well. We had them think about episodes that happened since they started interacting, things that the word classmates remind them of, and even a story for a fictional drama!
[Note: The word used in the article can also mean people in the same year for school, not really classmates, but I chose to keep the word classmate throughout.]
Kyoumoto Taiga
★ An episode about being classmates with Yuuta?
I've known Yuuta before I started work. Before, Yuuta was really mischievous, and was an energetic child that always made noise with people around him. Since I'm not the type to be that loud, we didn't talk that much. At that time, I would have never dreamed that some years later, we would be working together (laughs). One day, when I went to work, Yuuta was suddenly there and I was really surprised (laughs). I'm happy that we can do our best at work together though!
★ With theme of "classmates", if you were to do a drama or a stage show, what would it be about? Also, the roles for the two of you?
If it's two of us appearing in it, then something about school. Since I think it's easier to act if it's a character closer to my actual self, I guess I should play the role of a quiet kid while Yuuta plays the role that's like the class hero. Story? Wouldn't something like I suddenly became the popular one in class for some reason and Yuuta gets irritated over the fact that he lost his place in class and we get into a fight be good (laughs)? In the middle, there will be scenes where we exchange blows, but of course, we make up in the end and our friendship deepens.
★ Hearing the word "classmates", what comes to mind?
As I thought, rival probably. To me, Yuuta is of course in terms of work, but above that, my rival for studies. Since when I see the figure of a classmate doing their best and studying, I would think "I can't lose either". Yuuta has been doing filming for drama the whole time though, so do it along with studying, isn't it probably difficult? He did his best! I think it's a really good thing that someone I can call a rival is close to me. That's because it would become motivation for myself.
★ Tell us about a recent happening!
Right now, I've been given a chance to appear in "Dream Boys", but the number of times I was able to attend rehearsals weren't a lot. That's why until the shows started, I had feelings of uneasiness as well as pressure, but once we started, I was able to do it with feelings better than I expected, so I was relieved. I think my acting skills are nowhere near perfect though, so it'd be nice that while I participate in the shows, I can grow even just a little. I want to watch the acting of my senpai and study!

Taiga was addicted to hero stuff in the past and he would always play around doing impersonations of heroes. Like something kick. Then I remember watching that and think, "That guy is childish~" (laughs). Probably, if we talk about that now, I think he would take it seriously and go "I didn't do things like that!" and deny it (laughs). By the way, from that time, I was a child that did things like soccer and rampage around energetically. It means that we were two completely different types of peoeple.
★ With theme of "classmates", if you were to do a drama or a stage show, what would it be about? Also, the roles for the two of you?
Since romance stuff is trouble, I don't want that (laughs). I want it to be about school, something like "3 Nen B Gumi Kinpachi-sensei". Something that has club activities as its theme would be nice. Something like we're both in the soccer team, but Taiga did something sneaky and took my regular position away from me (laughs). Then, I would say "What~" and we'd fight, but in the end, what Taiga did is exposed and he couldn't participate in the game anymore, and it's like "Well, that can't be helped" and we get back our friendship, that kind of story (laughs).
★ Hearing the word "classmates", what comes to mind?
When speaking of classmates, it's friends. Towards Taiga, I don't really have a sense of being rivals. It's just that I really hate losing. I remember before when I went to skiing with a friend, I wanted to win against him no matter what and became really heated about it. If in the future, I have a chance to go against Taiga in something, I might think then "I'm definitely going to win!" and maybe gain feelings of rivalry. I guess I'd feel frustrated if I lose~ I feel frustrated even by just imagining it (laughs).
★ Tell us about a recent happening!
In private, I went skiing the other day. When I jumped, I went as far as 3m and even I was surprised! It felt like I became Peter Pan (laughs). At work, finally, the filming for "3 Nen B Gumi~" has come to an end. The last was the graduation ceremony scene, and I was touched and cried a lot. I think it became a really important work to me. Since I think my acting improved a bit as well, I definitely want to try being in a drama again!

Yuuta to Taiga de Aiueo

We asked them about things that they associate with their names "Taiga" and "Yuuta" and episodes that revolved around those things. From inside stories of stage shows to the hero they admire, a lot of talks came from it! (Interview was in mid-May)
Uekusa Yuuta
Yu - Yuujou (Friendship)
Friendship. Humans can't live by themselves (laughs). It's not good if one doesn't have friends. I truly felt that when I appeared in "3 Nen B Gumi Kinpachi-sensei". Saying "You're having it hard, right?" and my friend showed me his notes for class. I was touched then. That's because if I was in his place, I might not take notes that I can show my friends.
U - Ultraman
Ultraman was my aspiration when I was young! I liked "Ultraman Tiga" that Nagano (Hiroshi)-kun did the best. I never failed to watch it every week and I also went to watch the movie that was released then. When you look at photos from when I was in kindergarten, I would definitely be doing the pose for spacium ray (laughs). I also held a Ultraman figure in one hand. I really loved it. Ta - Taiga
Taiga (laughs). During rehearsals and such, every now and then I would try singing with some other Junior, but as I thought, if it's not Taiga, it doesn't go well. Should I say the musical interval doesn't match... I think that probably my type of voice matches Taiga's. Also, (Morimoto) Shintarou, Taiga, and me, the three of us matches as well. Since we've been together since we joined Juniors, not just our types of voices, but we get along as well.
Recent Situation
I have to do my best for the Juniors concert in June, but I have to do my best for midterms too! I want to show my own special personality during the Juniors concerts. Since it's a rare chance where Juniors are main, it'd be a waste if I don't stand out. It'd be good if I can do it with feelings of "Please pay attention to me!" About midterms...I don't want to think about them anymore, so don't ask me!! (laughs)

I started dancing after I joined Juniors. At that time, I tried doing "in my own special way" as well, but it's a bit different from "my own special way" now. Dance is profound! There are still lots of steps that I don't know and even though I know how I should move in my mind, when I actually try doing it physically, my body wouldn't move. It's something that you come to be able to without realizing it though.
I - Ichiban (Number One)
I don't really have a lot of experience in getting number one. Since I'm slow-footed, it was my dream to get number one for a race in the sports festival, but I couldn't achieve it (laughs). I couldn't do it for a drawing contest either... Every now and then though, I can get it for small tests. Taking advantages of the studious ones (laughs). A number one that I want to get in the future is singing I guess. My goal is to be told that I'm number one among Juniors!
Ga - Gakuya (Dressing room/backstage)
Dressing room! For last year's "Playzone" which Yuuta and Shintarou were together with me, we went wild (laughs). At first, I made a rule that "We'll go back home after we make the dressing room as close to the condition it was in before we used it", but there were days where we don't tidy up, and everyone just ended up not doing it... In the end, I was the only one that did it (laughs). There were drinks that were left there for 20 days as well and that was scary (laughs).
Recent Situation
KAT-TUN's concerts were fun starting from rehearsals! Akanishi (Jin)-kun's dance was sexy and cool. It'd be nice if I can dance like Akanishi-kun one day. Right after that, we're starting rehearsals for Juniors' concerts, so I have to do my best! At school too, we're having our midterms soon, so it's difficult. The days that my tutor come has increased it too, from three days a week to four, so I'm doing my best with my studies! (laughs)
