Mh, follow up on Domoto Kyoudai news. The previous information, I read off of early release of TV magazines as well as TMR's Twitter (though he didn't really touch upon other regulars), but according to the producer of the show, apparently Brother Tom was not at the recent recording, and talk regulars were Kinki, Takamizawa-san, Takeda-kun, and the three new regulars, so 7 people in total. =| N-no Brother Tom? He's so epic though! I hope he comes back in later recordings since TV magazines said he wasn't leaving...but TV mags can be wrong. >>'' From the photos of the producer's blog too, it seems like they renewed the set. It'll take a while to get used to. Also, the guest for 5/1 episode is Tokunaga Hideaki, the one who wrote Eien ni for Kinki Kids and did a lot of covers of songs by female singers. He apparently sang with TakaMina...t-that's a weird combination if you ask me.
Also, NHK finally decided on a date to re-air the 10th anniversary special of Shokura! It'll be airing on 4/26, starting at 17:00. Information from
here. Which means that if someone records it, there will be a HD version of the special.
By the way, the Sunday morning show that Nakamaru is a regular for has a Twitter
here. I read some brief mentions of Maru, but not a lot. Who knows, there may be more later on.
I keep on delaying writing drama reviews. orz;; Tomorrow...maybe.

Translation. Tap Kids and Kitty Jr. For the magazine spread, they made sculptures of each other using clay so while the model comments on the finished work, they also talk about their own experiences with clay and what they might want to do in the future, handicraft-wise.
{It may be better to read the translation with scans of the spread as the clay figures are quite...unique, so to say.
kyomototaiga would be one place to find the scans.}

Our faces are art
Surprisingly, they were made!!
[Note: The zo they used usually would just be a word to add at the end of a sentence to show force/determination and all, but they made a pun and replaced it with the kanji that is pronounced the same way which means statue or figure.]
The two groups are separated into pairs and they made each other's face using clay. You're going to be surprised by the art they made. [Note: Same pun in title is used here] Certainly, compare them with the actual person. We gave spotlight to handicrafts they want to try in the future as well.

● I've actually taken clay making classes before~ That's why I'm extremely good at clay work! Things like dinosaurs and animals, I've made various works, but the most memorable one is the tower I made that can have water flowing nicely downwards from the top I guess. The point to my work today is how the neck is slanted. Somehow, it seems like it's something you can find in an art classroom and it has the arts feel to its finish, right?
● Compared to handicraft, I think I want to draw pictures. For example, even though it's meadows all around, there is one sakura tree where all its flowers are blooming. Won't you think "Why here!?" and think it's strange? That kind of scenery, I want to leave behind as a picture.

What is this~? Why is the face crooked? That's mean! (tears) Yamada-kun, you're usually very kind, but today you're too mean! (Morimoto)

● When I was in kindergarten, I've made a lion, horse, rabbit, and such using clay. Since clay, no matter how many times you fail, if you just smash it altogether messily, you can make something else again, so it's fun. Today's work, if I have to say whether it's a success or a failure, it's closer to failure. They say "failure teaches success" though, so I'm sure one day, I should be able to make a work that I'll be satisfied with!
● Lately, the chair I use when I eat meals at home is kind of breaking. That's why I want to try making a new chair myself. Buy the wood and planks, measure the size, using the hammer and hammer the nails myself. The meal I eat sitting on that chair would probably feel more delicious that usual I think.

No matter where and how you look at it, it's not a human, right? Why is it planar? I want you to figure things out more and give it three-dimensionality. (Kanda)

● I have quite the confidence in clay work! I originally like making things, and I've often made things with clay since kindergarten. Now too, I have clay model classes at school and I made works with clay each week. What I made lately is my ideal house. At first, I was all excited and did things like "I'll put a jet airplane in the yard~" but it broke halfway... Then, suddenly I felt that it was troublesome to paint on colours, so I made a~ll of it light blue (laughs).
● What I want to challenge now is to make a large maze using clay! On the way, I'll make a bunch of planks, and once I finish it, I'll roll a ball in it and play. I look forward to it ♪

It's really detailed, so good work! If I speak of a desire though, I wanted you to put a mole below the left eye. That's because it's the same as Takizawa-kun who I really like ♡

● Recently, in art class, I made a shachihoko using clay. [Note: Shachihoko is a mythical carp with the head of a lion and the body of a fish] When I stuck on the scales one by one, I learned the trick to stick clay to clay. Um, if you put a little bit of water, it'll go well. This is also a technique you can use when there are cracks. That was useful today and I was able to make it quite well!
● Right now, I have interest in cooking, and I want to try making a pizza. Spinning the dough looks fun ♪ Well, my cooking experience is just the sunny-side-up fried egg from cooking practice. Not to mention at that time, I dropped the egg from a high place and it got crushed. Since it couldn't be helped, I made it into scrabbled eggs (laughs).

Ama~zing, you're good! The nose is tall and everything is detailed, but somehow, I feel that compared to me, it looks more like my dad (laughs). (Kyoumoto)

● When I was in Gr.4, in class, I made a papier-mache hamburger. I painted it too and I finished making a really delicious looking hamburger ♪ By the way, this time, I put the most effort in where the tears are falling. Since I've never seen Yamada-kun cry before, I made it using my imagination!
● Next time, I'll make (Kyoumoto) Taiga with papier-mache! The Taiga now though is boring, so Taiga in the future. About 50 years from now, he's already a grandfather and wearing glasses, and he'll be crying (laughs)! Then, fluent in English! The point is how I will show that he is fluent in English. It might be a bit difficult.

● Model's Comment ●
For a Gr.5 who has made it, isn't it good? It's cute. Just that, why am I crying, I don't know the reason for it (laughs). (Yamada)

● When I was in Gr.1, I made a zebra using papier-mache. At that time, even though we free to make whatever we want, for some reason, mine was a zebra. It's not like I like it... I wonder why? Today's goal is to make a sculpture with the smoothest skin compared to everyone else's. I fixed it with water with numerous times, so it's super smooth!
● I forgot when it was, but once, I made a clay plate in class. It was supposed to something that the teacher would bake in a kiln and can be used as a real plate at home. For some reason though, mine got lost... That's why I didn't see the finished product. Next time, if I have a chance to make a plate, I'll make it big and flat, and I want to eat pasta which I love from it.

● Model's Comment ●
How realistic~ It seems like it would move immediately. I don't think it looks like me though! That's because I don't have such smooth skin. (Itou)
Who is the one that made a work that shocked everyone!?
● When the clay has been readied and they sat on the chairs, already the six of them had their tension raised! "I want to make Yuuto-kun" (Kyoumoto), "Well, Yamada-kun for me then!" (Morimoto), "That means Kanda-kun for me" (Itou) and they decided who will make who's sculpture, then immediately started to work ♪ Yuuto was all enthusiastic, saying "I'm going to fuss over even the details!", but when he asked Kyoumoto numerous time "Look this way", Yamada who saw that also imitated him and asked, "Morimocchan, look this way and smile". Thereupon, Morimoto would go "Ha~i ♡" and give a smile, but Yamada was focused on the clay and had no intention to look at Morimoto... On the side of Morimoto who got angry saying, "Yamada-kun, you called me, so look at me properly~", Itou was the first one to shout "I'm done!" already. The completed work however, received criticism where everyone went "Eh~!?" Kanda who was the model said one thing, "Eh, that's me? Itou-kun, you have no sense." Kanda has a sharp tongue surprisingly... Livelily, six artistic masterpieces were completed ♪
Johnnys and art...always an interesting combination, lol. Well, for some, the age may have to do something with the results as well, haha. Mh, I haven't worked with clay in ages...
