10. Two Cats Together

"Fujigaya?"
Tsubasa didn't expect it when the other had lifted his head. He had been so used to seeing Taisuke bouncing around, smiling and laughing, he was a little shocked to see the younger one looking down, a smile no where to be seen on the other's face. Then again, even Taisuke can't stay happy forever, right?
For a moment, Tsubasa just looked at Taisuke, but he soon joined the other on the floor, crouching down. "Fujigaya, do you want to talk?"
Taisuke's eyes looked a little glassy. Tsubasa wondered was it from the pressure during rehearsals. After all, they only have two weeks to be prepared for his stage show, and right now, there was only one week left. A lot of people were probably feeling stressed.
Taisuke lowered his head back down and shook his head. "Don't worry, Tsubasa-kun. I'll be fine."
Tsubasa frowned. He didn't really like it when people try to work things out on their own, especially when having a listening ear can help with the stress. That and because Taisuke helped quite a few of his friends as well - he knew since he has worked with the other more than a few times - so someone should help Taisuke also.
Shifting until he was leaning against the wall beside Taisuke, Tsubasa said, "It's better if you talk to someone, Fujigaya. Having a listening ear is better than nothing. I won't say anything if you don’t want me to."
Silence was the response, but Tsubasa was patient and waited for Taisuke to speak up. He was sure the younger one would say something to him. Sure enough, a few minutes later, he heard Taisuke open his mouth. "S-sorry, Tsubasa-kun..."
"Why are you apologizing?"
"It's just...I'll be fine. I didn't mean to make you worry," Taisuke said as he bit down on his lips. "I probably was just thinking too much, overreacting. Wataru and Hiro always say I do that too much anyways..."
Tsubasa smiled softly. "That's still nothing to apologize for."
Taisuke puffed up his cheeks lightly. "I'll definitely work hard though! I'll do my best, and World Wing Premium will become the best stage show possible!" He quickly stood up and faced Tsubasa. Bowing down, he said, "I won't be worried anymore! I'll just do my best!"
For a second, Tsubasa just blinked, but then he chuckled softly and stood up, placing a hand on Taisuke's shoulder. "I have no doubt you'll do your best, Fujigaya." He made sure he looked into Taisuke's eyes. "Just remember, if you feel stressed or lost, don't hesitate to come to me? We can talk about it, or I'll just listen to you talk. Don't hide in a corner on your own, okay?"
Taisuke blushed lightly. "H-hai!"
A doting smile appeared on Tsubasa's face and he patted Taisuke on the head. "Let's go back to practice then?"
Immediately standing a little straighter, Taisuke nodded his head firmly. "Hai!" He spun around before remembering something and turned back around. "Thank you, Tsubasa-kun~ I'll be going back first then!"
Watching Taisuke run off, Tsubasa chuckled softly to himself. That was probably the fastest recovering speed he saw from anyone. Even though he rarely saw Taisuke feeling down, it was amazing to see how quickly the other was back to his energetic self. The other was cute that way.
Tsubasa tilted his head and let his thoughts wander a little. He really wanted to talk to Taisuke and get to know the other even more now. They did talk quite a bit at the introduction meeting, but there was still so much he didn't know about Taisuke. He had a feeling he'll become a lot closer to Taisuke and maybe he'll gain another little brother to dote over.
Tsubasa smiled. He liked the idea.
Author's Notes: Who said the countdown project were all going to fics with romantic relationships? I mean, I don't think I can write that many. =.= So instead, I'm writing ficlets of Taisuke's relationships with other people. =) Yay~ Of course, I have to write about Tsubasa-nii! //giggles//
I don't know, for some reason, I just couldn't write a lot. ^^;; But maybe it's enough? I don't really have much to say about this ficlet really...
