There are about a dozen different barbers/stylists on Mount Auburn street between my place and Watertown Square. I've gone to one guy there (Vietnamese guy with a sign in the window for really cheap hair cut specials) and feel pretty neutral about him. I bet you can find something along there which will be acceptable to you.
