The new modifications will actually allow us to purge not only deleted and suspended accounts, but inactive accounts as well, as announced in today's news post. This was not the only change put into the worker scripts; we also had to add logic that removed comments and community entries posted by accounts being purged. They updated the news posting to clarify that they will only rule an account inactive if it has only 1 post (the welcome post LJ creates when you sign up), AND has not been signed into for 24 months. They also added that they will email the account holder and give them 14 days to log in, and that will prevent it from being deleted. And if it does get deleted, they will have 30 days to reactivate before it gets purged.

Reading that made me feel a lot better!

That is better, but I still have a problem with them deleting comments in my lj from deleted users :(

There's a possibility that the code may just be to delete the comments of suspended accounts, but it's not clear if the girl who looked at the code was looking at existing code or the new code :/
