Tiny Update

My last pre-natal on Wednesday, the doc said the baby still hadn't dropped and things really weren't much further along than they had been the previous week. I was so disappointed... I'd been hoping he'd say that I'd lost my plug, the baby had dropped, and I was already somewhat dialated ( Read more... )

pre-natal exam, sick, baby shower, uncomfortable, baby drop, friends, dilated

Missed you! Of course you are fed up - you just want it to happen - but remember that delayed gratification makes it better.

It must be very hard, especially if you have a smaller stature - but when it happens, I know that all the discomfort will be instantly forgotten.

Am thinking of you..........

Going to a baby shower when you're sick is beyond stupid. Didn't occur to any of them that you might catch it and *big surprise* you're pregnant, so it might not be good to be sick. *hugs* I really hope you don't get sick.

Part of the problem is that the two people who were throwing the shower were both sick. The one was going to throw the shower, and then she backed out of it at the last minute due to illness... which was wise. She still attended, as I think I probably would too (having done all that work and all)... what was unfortunate is the other hostess came down with something the same day, and the two others that were ill, well, they were on the mend and probably no longer contagious. Probably :/

Membrane stripping does hurt. I had that done with 8yo as she was running late. (Heh... she's been late ever since too...)

I know this sounds weird, but sometimes having some nice gentle sex will trigger other uterine activity, if you know what I mean. I'm not kidding about this. Maybe it's coincidental, but I know enough people for whom this has been true, that it's somewhat of a pattern.

*hugs* for you, sweetie. It's almost over... This is the end of the low-maintenance time. ;)

I've heard this about the sex... unfortunately sex hasn't been possible for months now, due to the extreme pain :/

I just hope I get over this cold enough to give the baby some antibodies so it's not born sick.
