Question for those that know

I'm pretty sure the baby dropped sometime in the last 12 hours or so.

So, tell me girls, is it normal for it to feel as if the kid could fall right out of me everytime I stand up?

And how long after YOUR kid dropped did you go into labour? (I know they say it could be up to 4 weeks before for a first pregnancy, but I want other people's input

pregnant, baby drop, labour

Yea it's normal to feel like that. It was probably 2 weeks after D dropped that I went into labor.

Ditto.

Yeah, it's a weird feeling to walk around after the baby has dropped down, but that means that the day is approaching where you no longer have to carry the baby inside you, but in your arms instead :D

I can't even believe you are having your baby so soon! I wish for belly pictures! Friends only! No face required! You owe it to us since we can't walk up to you and touch your belly the way every stranger you meet currently does.

Which is something I imagine you hate.

There are a few belly pictures. Just a few. I am seriously thinking of posting them. I am a beached whale, and it's now kinda funny :P

Re: the strangers touching my belly, it's so freaky! The first time it happened was in slow motion, I saw this hand reach out and this big smiling face approach, and my eyes got big and I'm sure my face showed horror... the patting and rubbing began and I just looked down in shock watching it happen. The person was completely oblivious to my reaction.

Honestly, it will largely have to do with how much time I have after I go on mat leave, and before I have the baby!

with my first pregnancy i had an internal exam that helped drop the baby. was on a friday, she dropped down and i began back labour. i lost my plug on sunday night and she was born monday afternoon. =/ (3 days of back labour sucks ass...lemme tell ya)

with this pregnancy, he dropped down about 2 weeks ago. *sigh* and yes, it does feel like he's gonna fall out every time i stand up. im not sure which is worse.

sorry i dont have more cheerful stories to share. heh.

I can so totally see us going into labour at the same time!

That's freaky how the internal exam dropped your first baby... I think I'm kinda glad my OB/GYN didn't do a cervical exam wednesday!
