Thanks for the note about porter. Something funny about joe wengert - I had heard he was a new LA UCB dude/teacher, but I had never met him. Saw him doing standup at an open mic, then saw him at a show and introduced myself since he looked like he didn't know anybody. We talked forever and I had no idea it was him until like the end, hah. Guess he decided to try standup when he moved out here. He's already done CDR and he's been doing it like two months!

haha that's awesome. i could never approach joe out of the blue, he intimidates the shit out of me. from what i've seen of his standup, it's pretty average (though he is a beginner), but he's a genius at improv.
