First, I adore Winona's last name. Thank you! I've been casting around for one that I liked and that one works well.

Second, besides the whole scenario being incendiary, I mean, c'mon, bb!Pike bound and taking it from George... UNF, anyway, besides being so totally hot and hitting all my buttons, you threw in all the political machinations. Made George Kirk smart and ruthless -- 'burn the fucking Empire to the ground' -- and yet there's still more underneath them both.

Thank you for this, m'dear! It's brilliant! And, no, I wouldn't object if there were more in this particular 'verse even if it's years down the road... if you know what I mean!

Winona's last name is totally yeomanrand's name for her - I stole it with no remorse because I liked it so much. *grin*

Christopher is totally the young scion of the Pike family and, as such, is full of plotting and intrigue. The Kirks are newer in the grand scheme of Empire politics - upstarts in many ways, but promising with the right encouragement, the right control.
