You guys, I'mma be a convention guest. With, like, a speaking time and a meet and greet table and a biography with a photo and a book excerpt in a convention booklet. I know I mentioned it before but I was just speaking to the organiser on the phone and it's sinking in a bit and this is weird for me, okay, it's REALLY WEIRD

Sweetie, you're a published author (with people dressing up as characters from your books, if I may add), which means you are a writer. Period.

I have a European agent largely because, after he was told about me, he found your translation of Pretty Good Year and loved it. So it's thanks to you that my books may end up translated into German as well. Which would be a wonderful thing for me, as some of my favourite characters in the books are from Germany, and there are scenes here and there throughout the series set in Germany and Austria. So keep your fingers crossed!

I will. And should the publisher he'll certainly find for you ever need someone who is familiar with your unique style, a much better translator than seven years ago - and willing to work for a more than reasonable salary - you know where to find me. *grins*

Wish i was there for in person chat and hug, but I want to say that I suspect feeling fraudulent is just what happens when we're at the start of our writing careers cos I felt like such a fraud at Continuum 5. I wonder when it lets up. However, just because we feel it, doesn't make it so. You're a writer, you're published, you write awesome stories that people love, you so totally have a right to be a con guest and up there talking about what you do. Sorry i can't be there to cheer you on, but I'm cheering from a distance. :) <3
