RIP - Leonard Nimoy

Feb 27, 2015 09:54

Very sad news. The character he created was an inspiration and a comfort to me as a shy, intellectual, and "different" child, and continues to live in my heart through my adult years.

Leonard Nimoy may have moved on, but Spock will never, ever die. He is a huge part of the American mythology and will, I think, always be remembered.

I knowwwwww! I am so bummed. I really respected Nimoy - he was a real Renaissance man. And he was a lover of large women, too, at least with his photography, which I think is so cool. Oddly enough, I just gave Mr. hg the full set of the original episodes for Christmas.

Why is it my two favorite Beatles AND my two faves of the four ST principles all had to go first? 💔

(Very good to "see" you, though, despite the circumstances! I've missed you! *hugs* Sounds like we would have been great buds as kids, btw.)

I was shocked to hear about this too! *sadface* it was pretty unexpected, but you are right, Spock will always live on.

And yay! you posted, even if it was sad news. LJ has missed you. I have some pictures to send you of Steampunk awesome gowns you could make for Ycon *nudge*

I have to agree, he will be sorely missed, but his impact will never been forgotten.
