Took a metric shitton of Homestuck icons. You could not measure these sick beats icon numbers if you wanted to. okay I know you could stfu

Also, I wanted to say thank you for still posting to LJ even if you've officially moved to DW. I really like y'all's icons, and not having a DW account (yet, not sure whether I'll switch or not tbh) means I feel guilty taking people's icons when I can't comment to let them know I'm doing so. So, thank you, and thank you for sharing such fantastic icons with us. c: <3

you're welcome! i'm honestly not a big fan of DW but everyone i know moved there so my hand was sort of forced. 8(

so i don't want anyone watching my comm to have to be forced into making the DW vs. LJ choice. so yeah! i will crosspost forever.

And if you don't mind my asking (in complete ignorance, because my use of lj is incredibly limited), why is everyone moving over to dw? From your other post, it sounded like something went down to make people move en masse, but I am so out of touch ide. (also sorry if it's super complicated/you don't want to detail, I'm just curious ^^)

SUCH a belated reply, sorry!

Well basically LJ changed up the comments and a lot of users were really unhappy about it. They gave LJ feedback before the change asking them not to change it and LJ didn't listen. LJ's head hancho, some Russian dude, mocked the userbase for not liking the changes. People got pissed about his behavior as well as the behavior of the staff writing off some serious issues with the new LJ. There were cases of auto-payments being turned back on off they were turned off and stuff like that.

So a lot of people left for Dreamwidth, most notably the roleplaying community.
