Thank you! I asked at the art supply shop and they were pretty positive about it. I also used it to paint a walnut-stained bar for that other project. The piece came stained with that little bit of gloss to it and the enamel paint worked like a charm to make it look lacquered.

It turned out nice! :) I wonder if you could just use some plastic from a package and use a blow dryer to heat it up to make the face shield?

ummmmmm, neither. Like the soft-hard plastic that a set of candles come in or a harder plastic that is molded. You know those packages that are so hard to open!
