There are pros and cons to choosing a small institution to study at (Berklee) and a big one (the University of Auckland).
Large institutions have a many-faceted bureaucracy which may seem daunting at first, however once you've been in the system a while, you gradually learn how it operates - and how it actually operates with a good deal of efficiency once you learn what to do.
Small institutions may have fewer layers of bureaucracy, however because of the smaller numbers of students involved, there isn't the same pressure (or economy of scale) to bother being efficient.
Snazzy business cards by the way. $8? That's awesome. Too bad it's probably only in America.

Yeah, that's probably true about Berklee. Although, it seems like they have a system that works well for all the people who do things "regularely", that is to say, don't transfer in music credits or try to test out of things. I think because it's done so seldomly, they just have no idea what to do when a case like mine comes through. Oh well...
