Between Logic and Feeling

Yunho frowned.
The skyscraper in front of him could easily be disguised as a working class sanctuary, which in fact it was. Located in the central of upcoming business district, the tower was 69 floors high, complete with basement and underground parking lot. A gym, spa, indoor swimming pool, indoor tennis courts and mini indoor golf range took up the first few floors. A cafeteria -no really, more like an exclusive restaurant- was on the floor right above the sport facilities; a temptation for anyone was not that dedicated into body-building. Then the rest of the buildings were all offices from the next floor up to the second most top. Nevertheless, countless interior magazines dubbed the tower as the most sought office building in the country.
An ironic notion, in Yunho’s opinion, considering what was located at the top floor.
With another long resigned sigh, the young politician squared his shoulders, determined to just go in and do the thing he came here for before he loses his wit. He walked into the marbled lobby, noting the decorations which are more appropriate for a five star hotel than an office building.
Stepping into an empty elevator, Yunho took a deep breath before pressing the intended floor: 69th. The top floor. He leaned back into the glasses elevator window, glad for the brief relieve he was allowed to experience. His mind travelled back to his conversation with Yoochun four nights ago.
Yoochun was his best friend from college before they went their ways separately to do what their fathers had instructed them to: Yoochun to business school while Yunho to law. After graduating as a lawyer Yunho had interned at his father’s law firm for two years before immediately floored by politics. His father supported his decision to become a politician, although he secretly prefers Yunho to inherit his law firm, but still the old man didn’t go back to his words. If his son wanted to delve into politics then so be it.
Meanwhile Yoochun, after he got his degree in business, had inherited his father’s business empire and thus easily became one of the most influential businessmen in the country. And because every politician needs a main sponsor, a backer, a patron so to speak, Yunho looked to Yoochun for that aspect and Yoochun agreed. He was excited with the idea of Yunho becoming a politician because after all, every great business always needs a few changes of some rule now and then. And with Yunho, Yoochun was sure he would get the most benefit. The man was kind and righteous; add that with a handsome face and a masculine body, he was favored by men and women voters alike. Especially women.
However Yunho had one major flaw according to Yoochun. He was too naïve. Granted, he had been more than successful in the last few years he was seriously involved in politics but when it came to the major league, Yunho was not ready for all the ‘wolves disguised in sheep wools.’
And the major league was where Yunho intended to go.
His party’s leader approached him one week ago, saying that Yunho was a candidate to become a senator next term; a decision voted almost unanimously by everyone in the Party. Yunho was more than intrigued with the idea, he was thrilled. After he had received his father’s perspective on the idea -and his approval- the young politician immediately set to find Yoochun. He needed to make sure that his friend still wanted and able to give him sufficient financial funding after all and that was when Yoochun dropped the bomb on him.
He didn’t exactly say that Yunho was naïve, per se; Yoochun put it in a more eloquent way fitted to such a successful businessman that he was. But Yunho caught the hidden words and he grudgingly acknowledged it after much thinking. Yoochun was right. Yunho needed certain… guidance to speak, he needed to learn on how to controlling his expressions better. He needed to master the ability to smile and wave when things haven’t gone according to plan, or even to his favor. And most important of all, he needed to distinguish whether the person in front of him was an ally or a foe because as the old saying goes -there is no friend in politics.
Then Yoochun mentioned about Shim Changmin and had Yunho ever heard of him? Yunho scoffed, of course he had heard about the 2nd son from Shim Family. Whereas the first son and heir had dutifully accepted a life as a businessman, inheriting the empire from the Shim Senior like a good puppet (much like Yoochun did) Changmin had chosen to defy his father and refused to take part in the family business. Apparently Shim Senior was so enraged by his son’s decision because he went as far as disowning the young man and publicly announced it.
On the other hand, Changmin seemed unperturbed by the whole thing. If the father had expected his second son to go back and crawl for forgiveness, he was sorely mistaken. Changmin had laughed out loud by the time the press conference was held, saying that he didn’t give a damn about the old man’s money anyway. His father had shot back screaming how the hell Changmin expected to survive in the world without a single penny from his father. The deviance son had merely smirked and left the room, leaving Shim Senior and the first son gritted their teeth while the press had jumped at the story like a bunch of ravenous hyenas.
Yunho never heard of Changmin again after that -the man just disappeared and no one know where he was- but the name stuck in his mind ever since. After all it was hard to forget it even after five years went by, the incident was still secretly but constantly whispered among socialites. But Yunho never thought much about it, he had better things to do with his time. Until one Park Yoochun mentioned the name again.
Apparently before refusing the family inheritance, Changmin (like any sensible guy would) had secured himself some sources of income. The biggest one, or so Yoochun had told him, was one of those things that could help Yunho solving his naiveté problem.
The elevator ding-ed then, bringing Yunho out from his musings and back to reality. Squaring his shoulders, the young politician took a deep breath and stepped outside.
He had expected the foyer to be… sultry to be honest, like a nightclub or a bar. But what he saw was a completely quiet, zen-like room. It wasn’t brightly lit, but from among the dim lights Yunho was able to make out his surroundings. Sparsely decorated with only very few furniture and one small Japanese fountain at one corner, providing soothing water sounds admits the silence. Perhaps it was due to the lack of furniture, the man who was seated behind a lavish European mahogany desk (which seemed out of place yet somehow blended perfectly with the Japanese atmosphere) attracted Yunho’s attention almost immediately.
“Hello,” the man spoke in low tone, his voice dripping with sensuality, “welcome to Eclipse, how may I help you?”
“Umm,” Yunho’s brain scrambled for an answer. “My name is Yunho and I wonder if-“
“Ah yes, of course. Yoochun-shi has informed us about your arrival, Yunho-shi,” the man cut him off.
Yunho was surprised. Yoochun didn’t tell him that he would place a call beforehand but it was pretty nice of him, it saved Yunho from the embarrassment having to explain the things himself in excruciating detail. The surprise must have shown clearly on his face as the man in front of him burst out into a high pitched laugh. He was still giggling as Yunho blushed.
“Forgive me, but you are so cute, Yunho-shi.” He stood up and sauntered closer to Yunho, who immediately noticed that the man was not only sexy but also incredibly attractive. He stopped only a step away from the young politician and whispered in his ear, “If only I wasn’t exclusively taken.”
Before Yunho’s brain finished processing what was happening, the man had moved away. With one last appreciative look to Yunho, he said, “Come on, follow me. Changmin will want to meet you first.”
At the mention of the Shim’s second son Yunho immediately followed, eyes trained on the plump ass swaying in front of him which was just begging to be touched. They walked down the dim corridor and bypassing few doors before stopping at one in particular, considerably a bit bigger than the rest.
The man didn’t bother to knock; he just opened the door and calmly walked in. Yunho had no choice but to follow.
Another man was sitting on one of the plush couches, a glass of brandy in his hand. The young politician recognized him immediately. Shim Changmin. It had been few years since he last saw him and it was only through photographs as well but Changmin was as handsome as Yunho remembered him. No, scratch that, he was even more handsome. The face was definitely more mature, the jaw line more prominent, but those eyes still held the same defying looks in them.
Changmin stood up and one of the first things Yunho noticed was how tall the man really was. Those long legs that seemed to go on forever were clad in expensive designer pants; a white collar peeked from the black cashmere sweater, giving a look of casualness but still formal enough. A Rolex watch was on his wrist. As if that all were not enough, he had an air of arrogance around him, a specific kind of superiority that only a natural leader could have. No wonder Shim Senior was terribly upset when this son refused to take part in family business; he was more appropriate in becoming a cunning, ruthless businessman than the first Shim son. But still, the things that stood out the most were those long legs, lean body and that handsome face.
Yunho wondered why this man didn’t just become a supermodel instead of running this kind of business. The answer came to him immediately: obviously Changmin made more money from this than what a supermodel might have made.
“Jung Yunho, welcome to Eclipse. I’ve heard so much about you.”
“Good things, I hope,” Yunho answered with a sheepish smile.
Changmin’s lips quirked upwards as if the man was trying to hide some amusement. “Of course they are. The youngest politician in the Labor’s party, greatly admired by men and women alike.” He moved one step closer and added, “A prominent candidate for a Senator, possibly.”
“I see you’ve been talking to Yoochun. He’s the one that recommended you to me by the way, saying that you can help me.”
“Well not exactly by me, but I do have someone that can help you.” Changmin motioned to one of the plush sofas, “Please, take your seat. Can I offer you a brandy or a whiskey?”
“Brandy is fine, thank you,” Yunho replied as he sat down.
The man from the foyer was the one who gave him the glass of brandy. He hadn’t left the room, a sign that he might be one of the most high-ranked hosts Changmin employed if he was allowed to take part in business negotiation. That, or -Yunho raised an eyebrow as the man plopped down to Changmin’s lap- he was favorite of the owner.
Changmin casually wrapped an arm on the other’s waist and the man immediately snuggled closer. Yunho saw a flicker of affection crossed through the Shim’s eyes as he gave a tiny smile at the man in his arms. He noticed that Yunho was staring. “This is Junsu, in case he forgot his manners and didn’t introduce himself earlier.”
Junsu giggled and smiled at Yunho, “Sorry about that. Besides,” he pouted at Changmin, “You forbid me to talk to strangers remember?”
Changmin smirked, “That I do.” He leaned down and gave Junsu a wet, open mouth kiss.
Ah, so this is what he meant by exclusively taken,Yunho thought as he watched the pair in front of him. Tongues were now playing around and Yunho was mesmerized by how erotic it was to watch them kissed and it was only kissing damn it. Images of them doing other things -fucking, his libido unhelpfully supplied- gave his cock an involuntary twitch. Junsu moaned as Changmin’s hands cupped that plump ass. Yunho swore the sound was pure sex to his ear.
By the time they parted for air Junsu was panting and Yunho was half hard. The host mewled when Changmin refused to kiss him again, making the later chuckled. “Patience darling,” he pecked Junsu’s cheek, “we have a guest.”
Junsu’s eyes turned a shade darker. “I don’t mind an audience, I like being watched,” he said as Yunho gaped.
Changmin let out a low laugh. “I know you do, but I prefer nobody see how hard I’m fucking you; how your tight, gorgeous ass swallowing my big, thick cock,” he whispered but still loud enough so that Yunho could still hear.
Junsu whimpered while Yunho blushed. But the host obeyed his boss’ command, he wiggled around Changmin’s lap and find himself a comfortable spot. Changmin looked at Yunho, “So Yunho-shi, Yoochun has told me in general about what you want, but I need something more specific,” His fingers never stopped stroking Junsu’s hair and the host purred every now and then.
Yunho cleared his throat uncomfortably, “Well, um, how do I say this? To put it simply, not only that I need to fix my poker face, but also I need help reading through others’ poker face. Yes, that’s about it,” he nodded although it was more like to convince himself rather than anything else.
“I see,” Changmin hid a smile again, Yunho couldn’t help but feeling embarrassed. “Not really as specific as I want it to be but you’ve proven what I suspected. Hero will be perfect for you.”
“Hero?”
Junsu suddenly giggled. He sneaked a glance at Yunho and smiled seductively. “Don’t worry, you will enjoy Hero, he’s very good at what he does.”
Yunho fought down a blush. “I don’t-“
“What Junsu meant,” Changmin interrupted as he smacked the host’s head playfully, making him pouting and Yunho once again tried hard not to stare at those lips and how adorable they looked, “Hero will help you. He will be your… mentor so to speak. He’s one of the most highly-sought hosts here, usually reserved as companion for dinners, parties and such, and he knows his way around people, I can guarantee you that.”
“He’s good at reading and also a master at pretending,” the Shim second son added with a smirk.
“… so you want me to hire him so that he can teaches me those things?”
“Oh no,” Changmin was definitely amused now, “these skills cannot be acquired in overnight. You will spend plenty of time with him, you’ll take him to dinners with political colleagues, parties and maybe even some negotiation meetings. You will observe how he behaves, how he talks. He will in return gives you clues, pinpoint your mistakes and guides you until you can survive on your own. Don’t worry though, I promise you will be satisfied in the end of each meeting.”
Yunho flushed some more at Changmin’s double meaning. After considering the whole proposition for a moment, he finally agreed and nodded.
Changmin smiled. “Good! Now let’s talk about payment. Hero is expensive, but he is worth it. For every time you go out with him I will charge your account by this much.” He slide a small piece of paper over the coffee table.
Yunho picked it up and his eyes widened at the number of zeroes written there. He looked up to see Changmin’s amused face.
The man gave a dismissive wave. “Oh don’t act so surprised, it’s not like you cannot afford it. You might need to touch the trust fund Daddy has set up for you, but it’ll be a small price to pay compares to what you will gain in return.”
The young politician let out a sigh. Like any cunning businessman, Changmin obviously had done a thorough background check on him. Not many people knew about the trust fund. “Fine, this Hero better be worth it though.”
Changmin’s corner lip curled upwards. “I will let you be the judge of that. Now Junsu baby, please ask Hero to come here immediately.”
Junsu hopped down from Changmin’s lap and sauntered towards the door. Yunho watched as Changmin eyed the retreating figure for a bit before glancing towards Yunho’s untouched and obviously forgotten glass. “Will you prefer something else Yunho? You don’t mind if I call you Yunho do you?”
The young politician shook his head to both questions and immediately gulped down his brandy in one go. The liquid left a pleasant tingling trail in his throat. As soon as he put the glass down, Changmin instantly refilled it. At Yunho’s questioning look, he chuckled. “Trust me, you might need it. Hero can be very overwhelming to some people.”
As if on cue, the door opened and in came Junsu, followed by a man so breathtakingly beautiful Yunho swore he was not human.
He could only stare at him as the man glided across the floor. The world seemed to lose focus and the only thing mattered was this, this piece of art. Porcelain skin as if it was made of pearl, dark locks framing that perfect face, wide black eyes and full lips that any female would kill to possess, and that slim waist -Yunho gulped- he was already imagining how they would fit oh so perfectly in his hands as he fucked this man.
“Yunho, let me introduce you to Hero.” Changmin’s voice sounded so far away.
Yunho wished he had downed that second glass.
