Rewrites are finished! Now seeking beta readers...

It's been a very busy summer, both at work and at home.  My author web site, www.michaela-august.com, has been completely redesigned and now includes its own blog, which I'm using mostly to post photos and information related to the historical backgrounds of my published novels.

I also finished rewrites on the new book, tentatively-titled The Wolf

Um wow. I just flicked through here wondering what if anything had been going on in the past year. Sure, I'll read what you've got. I'm glued to my Kindle, so let's try that. So glad you are forging ahead. Your trip (and photos) through Spain still stands out in my mind as something I need to do.

(I love, love, love my Kindle! I finally broke down and bought one last summer, ahead of a trip to Germany, and then was sorry I hadn't gotten one sooner. I adore having a library in my purse at all times, and having something with the battery power to keep going for an 11-hour flight.)

I'm up for it! I'm thinking a Word or rtf file would work best, so I can make notations. Unless you're looking for more general comments that I could send you as emails regarding each chapter?

Thank you so much, Ekaterin! I'll be happy with whatever comments you care to give, though I'm most interested in whether the story elements (character, plot, pacing) are working at this stage.

The final draft is usually my polishing edit, where I hone in on typos, excessively wordy or passive sentences, repetitious use of certain words or phrases, etc.

Anyhow, I really appreciate it. If you let me know a good email address, I'll send a .doc file along when I've finished my proofing pass, hopefully by the end of the weekend.
