Sicily Day 1: Arrival in Palermo

Touching down in Palermo after a long 18-hr flight was like walking through a door into summer, with soft blue skies, fluffy clouds, and warm sunshine.

The Italians' traffic habits match up with everything I've read about them-Eeeek!

And wow, your luncheon and dinner both sound superb. You have such a way with words; you could do restaurant reviews as well as travelogues!

Thanks! the traffic definitely takes some getting used to, but I'm having a wonderful time so far...Sicily is wonderful!

Yes, that landing in Palermo is extraordinarily beautiful! My Palermo tips - watch for pickpockets on the Montreal bus, see an opera if you can, and DEFINITELY go to the catacombs. xo stan

Unfortunately, my time in Palermo was pretty tightly scheduled on the tour, but I've already decided I want to return to Sicily on my own and explore some more.
