Back in 2005, I wrote a story for the watchersdiaries' Art-A-Thon Reversed Challenge. And while it was completely finished and plotted in my head (not to mention mostly written out by hand in an old notebook), Life happened and I never got around to posting the ending

Interesting story. Of all the people in all the world to come upon a Slayer... I like your characterization here a great deal and I shall continue to follow this one.

The artwork came first in this particular challenge, and I thought the idea of Ethan scheming his way into the company of a newly-made Slayer would be an interesting premise. I'm especially pleased that you thought the characterization seemed right. That's always the nicest compliment!
