He was always one of my favorites. I knew the prognosis was bad, but I still had such hope for him.

You know, I'm probably sadder about this than some of the other celebrity deaths of late. Farrah's was sad, for instance, but I never felt as connected to her work. And MJ's (while incredibly tragic) was surrounded by such a media circus. But Patrick had more relevance to the actual time period I spent growing up. I will really miss him.

I'd [sort of] heard about it last night while playing City of Heroes, but the news was conflicting. I pretty much went straight to work from there, so didn't get a chance to check to see if it was true or not 'til this morning.

On the way home from work THREE different stations played "(I've Had)The Time of my Life"

Here's to hoping that he felt that way.
