oh poor arthur ,i just wanted to hug him there at the end,his face just broke my heart.can you imagine when he finds out everything morgana has been upto including trying to get him killed.to find out that not only his morgana the traitor but that his father as lied to him his whole life.if uther is to live arthur will have to get over the betryal and save him.the reveal for arthur was so worth the wait the way they did it .this gives me hope that the pay off for the margic reveal will be worth the wait too.

Agreed. Arthur's face as first Morgana turned out to be traitor and then turned out to be his sister. Both Uther and Morgana have been deceiving him, so that leaves .... Merlin.

You're right, Arthur's face there in the end when he found out about all the betrayal... I really felt for him. And Merlin did, too. You could see it in Merlin's face. I would have loved if Merlin had put a reassuring hand onto Arthur's shoulder then, to lend support, to just be there for him...
I hope next week's episode picks up right where we left off and we'll get to see some Merlin support/reassurance/comfort.

I hope so too! I'll be annoyed if the next ep starts with a completely different scene! I want to see Merlin comforting Arthur about this.

i know why technically they had to let the cup fall out of merlin reach but i know merlin can slow things down he can even stop them mid air he did that the day he arrived in camelot when guis was falling down so why couln't he slow the cup down and direct it to himself i think it would have made more sense if something else hindered this rather than merlin just standind there while the cup went over him.second why is it that merlin can never heal it as not been explained so far except when guis told alice that he wished merlin would show more interest in the art of healing, but that he feared merlin found healing less exciting, but that would explain why merlin might not know powerfull healing spells it does not explain why the ones he knows never seam to work.i hope that gwen choosing to stand by morgana was because she knew deep down that arthur is still a life and she is buying time ,it will really disapoint me if she believe arthur is dead and she decide to stay with the person respoinsible even if its to save her life.this was ( ... )

I KNOW!!! I was fuming by that point in the episode, and my husband kept screaming, "Accio magic cup! ACCIO MAGIC CUP!" It's not like he hadn't blatantly used his magic already -- it's not like he had the trying-to-be-subtle excuse going for him.

"Merlin, you should go with them!"
"I've seen the woods."

A/M FTW.

I loved that scene. For once Arthur shows that he cares about Merlin and doesn't want to put him in danger and Merlin simply brushes it aside with that kind of joke and Arthur doesn't argue but quickly accepts that Merlin's coming with him. He wouldn't have wanted it any other way I think. He felt the need to give Merlin an out but secretly he hoped Merlin would be by his side. Aww.

THE SCENE with the slave driver and Merlin wakes up! I loved that Arthur wanted to fight instead! And Gwaine! We should have a show with only Arthur, Merlin and Gwaine running around on quests, LOL! THAT LITTLE DRUID BOY WAS SO CUTE! I actually hated Arthur a little when he grabbed the boy like that.

And I really didn't get one thing, Arthur was really poisoned, like dying-poisoned, but Merlin used his magic to temporarily save his life? And I really thought that Gwaine was gonna find out about the magic, I was so certain that he was gonna come back from 'gathering woods' and see Merlin. I loved ALL the A/M scenes, with Merlin being all worried about Arthur, AND YES!
