[Residents of Beast Boy's new home may be surprised to hear a high-pitched scream coming from the main bathroom upstairs.  Upon rushing to the poor girl's aid, they may be even more surprised to see a short, skinny, teenaged boy checking himself out in the mirror.]

[Meanwhile Raven missed the phonecall, but is walking down the street reading a book. She's wearing typical mayfield clothes, but she has her normal appearance back at least.

.....looking up at strange....barking....boy..

[Dammit, he'd have to do something so dumb in front of a g -- ]

Raven! Am I glad to see -- Gah!

[And Beast Boy exhibits the new superpower of teleportation as he disappears and rematerializes up a tree.]

Wait, don't look at me! I mean. Uh. This is kinda embarrassing. ...How'd you know it was me?

[But there's a small smile. Because after everything that happened recently hearing a familiar voice that isn't yelling at her is nice.]

You'll get back your normal appearance in the mail. That's what happened with me.

...Dude. Pale skin is a little different from green skin. You don't look all that different in the first place.

[But he'll slowly drop down from the tree, anyway.]

I never thought I'd find out what I'd have looked like if I'd been normal. ...But what do you mean, 'in the mail'?

(Tara can't help but giggle at the boy's antics. She is just walking around town when she overheard the barking, and she does find it funny to see him get down on all fours. Not to mention that he DOES look familiar, like she's seen him before somewhere. Hoping for a fellow Jump City resident, she waves him over when he's back on his feet.)

Hey! Are you new here?

[And suddenly, nothing matters but that voice. That horrifyingly, amazingly, wonderfully familiar voice. Everything seems to go into slow motion as he whirls around and stares.

His mouth drops open in shock. ...He has no words. For a long time, Beast Boy just stares, his eyes expressing disbelief, shock, pain, confusion, everything, the whole gamut of his emotional range.

And finally, joy. Without even thinking about it, he runs forward and tries to grasp her in a hug.]

Terra...

You're alive...

(His initial reaction to just gape at her causes her to tilt her head in confusion, before she walks over and waves her hand in front of him.)

Ummm, hello? Are you alri-

(And then suddenly he's running towards her, calling her THAT NAME again. She's too surprised to do anything but stand still though when he suddenly hugs her. She still hates being mistaken as Terra, but what he said caused her to pause before snapping back.

"You're alive..."

She feels bad now. Whoever this guy is, he obviously knew Terra before she sacrificed herself, and he must've been a good friend too. She doesn't know how to break the news that in fact, Terra is most probably dead and gone.)

[Had Beast Boy been in a more stable state of mind, he might have noticed that Terra had returned his affections with all the energy of a wet noodle. But he had seen her petrify before his eyes, it had only been a few weeks since he'd truly given her up as gone, and...

It had been just this morning that he'd visited her statue again. Beast Boy is too manly to cry. But a whole lot of dust seems to have gotten into his eyes.]

[Nall was lounging in a tree nearby when Beast Boy suddenly stopped, dropped and barked and no lie, he was startled into full alert mode. He blinks a moment before spearking.]

Easy, fella. I don't think that squirrel is gonna bother anyone now...

Talking winged cats. I'd be pretty happy if I weren't totally loony.
