( A quickie trip report kind of blorped out onto the screen, with far too many parenthetical remarks, but at least I got it done. And it has caves. And cute Australians. )

That would be awesome, blossom! The only lava tubes I've been in are on the Big Island, and they were fun, and scary, and full of Japanese teen-agers screaming their heads off. (cuz i was their sensei, and made them go in, hee)

These were not so crowded. Of course, they were not so big, either.

Any educational periodicals you can think of that accept freelance work and might want to hear about Spaceward Bound?

If this was anyone but you (and okay, a couple others I can think of), I'd be positively ROTTING with jealousy right now. But as it IS you - YOU GO, GIRL! Congrats on getting to take such a Beyond Cool Field Trip!!!
