In which Ever and Damien's relationship goes nowhere for about 10 pages and it's all because she's not sexy (hoodies are ok people!!) and Damien is a player (which she knew before this mess started!!). Wonderful.
Right, there's too much...bland unresolved...something or another? We need a term for this. *ponders*
Incidentally, I love your pity party card. I was more interested in my desire to snuggle the poor puppy than the "plot". XD
And yes, I'm actually going to see Tangled in a few days! My friend is coming along, as is my laptop and webcam, for after. I can't wait! XD Are you going to see it soon?
I hate Riley. She's a creepy, dead pre-teen who gets off on watching her big sister's ex be with some other girl. She does have a costume fetish, don't she? I don't know what was with the little mermaid at the halloween party. "Shell covered chest..."? The hell is she dressing in a shell bra for? I know no one can see her, but jeez, if they could
( ... )
If Ever really wanted to atone, she would do a Constantine and figure out a way to help people using her powers. She would meet Ava to train in a safe environment (well, to be fair, she doesn't know Ava). If Ever really wanted to atone, she would tell me what the plot of this book is!
Thanks. I kept searching for an EMO font, but found none though.
Okay, an Ever who saw herself as responsible for her family's deaths and tried to use her powers to atone would be so much more interesting than the one in the book. At least then she would be actually doing something. Even if she didn't trust Ava, Ever could try to train on her own. It might not work out, but then, hey, conflict! Action! Stuff actually happening other than everyone talking about Damen all the time!
Nanowrimo helped a lot with the book, though it ran me into the ground. The past week I've done nothing because Thanksgiving came and I was like "Sleep - I remember this. It is good." But I'm reasonably certain that I'll get everything finished on time. I just have to fix some structural issues and, you know, write the ending.
/Not really talking about anything important or smoothing out what happened over the weekend… TRULY THIS IS A LOVE FOR THE AGES!! Between the lack of communication, jackass hero, stupid heroine and lack of stable romance between the two, I can see why this is a soulmate story./
Be still, my heart! Truly, I'm swooning here, people. *rolls eyes*
The lack of communication is one of the things that usually bother me when it comes to romances. So many problems arise just because the two romantic leads can't bother to talk to each other.
And Damen is annoying. He and Ever are supposed to be soulmates and yet he's flirting with other girls? For what? To pass the time? To make her jealous so that she'll pay more attention to him (words cannot describe how tired I am of this stupid trope)? So far, I have seen no reason why the two of them should end up together. The only reason provided from the text is: "He's hot and so is she."
See! This is why I enjoyed Ella Enchanted so darn much. Two teenagers getting to know each other and falling in love after really talking. The book is not perfect, but what it does it does it well. But here these two barely talk, so I don't care!

And I'm tired of this too, especially because I'm watching glee, which has to be one of the shows with worst developed romances.
/And your invitation was cute. :)/
Thank you. I had to do something after the constant pity parties Ever subjects me too since I can't say: "I don't wanna go, so stop inviting me!"

There's only so much UST a person can take.
On a happier note, at least Tangled came out. Perfect to combat this tripe. XD

Thanks. I like making visual jokes when I can. XD
I want to, but my friend wants to see HP and Tangled "is for children". Maybe I'll see it with my family.
