The world the souls created? The hell? God created the world, thank you very much. The souls are just trying to take over and make it "a better place."
How does a voice whisper in someones mind? Does it echo or, perhaps, sound quieter... Then why wouldn't she just have said "Desperate times, Melanie''s voice (or whatever the hell Wanderer calls it) was very quiet,..." or "Desperate times, Melanie's voice was queiter now,..." I don't know. Shrug.

Um, this is The Host, by Meyer. It's a body snatcher story. Souls are these alien bugs that crawled into human beings and take over them, killing their personality and eliminating the human race. That's why it is "The world you created". Wanderer is a bug living inside Melanie.

Yeah, but... It's not as though the souls created the world. They RE-created the world by doing what they thought best, if that's what Meyer was trying to say.
Wait... This is a book by Stephanie Meyer? Ohhhhh, that just explains it all, doesn't it?. Love your other sporks of The Host btw =)

Since you added me the other day, I've been going over your journal, and I've gotta say, I'm impressed. It's always nice to find new sporkings to read. Keep up the good work!

Thank you, that's very kind of you. I'm glad you like it. It's always good to know somebody else was amused by my sporking. I still have plenty of chapters to read, plus a few surprises, though.
