And pretty much every single one of us are wanting it returned.
Seriously, explosions in LJ news and the LJ releases comms. LJ releases is up to 7,672 comments and 115 pages as I write this and LJ news...over 500 comments of their latest entry. I even commented once.
I mean, what in the world were they thinking! This is horrible...except for the new comment thing, I like that. Only thing I like!
Yeah, the whole options-part is a nifty feature, but why they have to use such a bad font and overall design that seems to try and scream "we're being new and hip and cool and all that jazz" but just comes off as "you annoyed yet? You annoyed yet? You annoyed yet?"
And meh, I prefer using keywords to choose my icon. Directly choosing the image seems pointless and broadband-consuming.
ETA: Maybe livejournal detected a sense of hostility from your comment and thought that some time in the time-out box would improve your attitude? :P xD
Yeah, the font is bad. Maybe it's my layout, but the spacing and everything does not look right at all.
I keep forgetting to choose an icon most of the time when making comments! XD However, I can see the problems people would have with the new icon system. Perhaps keep the keywords part and, after we choose, have the icon load much like it does when we make an entry post.
Maybe! XD Oh, and according to what I've heard, LJ is supposed to have this horrible redesign! It looks exactly like this! >_< I just hope they keep my layout and I'll have to leave my journal space!
Pffh, I ain't leaving just 'cus of something like that. I still find livejournal to work for my usage of it (fanfic-reading/writing/ranting, general fandom-community and other fannish stuff, and the occasional randomness from me) and I don't have a dreamwidth. Maybe I'll get one if there is a mass exodus from livejournal, but that will depend on the exodus and its form.
Leaving? I have LJ, Google Blogger, Deadjournal, Dreamwidth, and Tumblr. It's not a mater of leaving so much as it is where I am arsed to go. In case LJ moves down to #15 in my "things to check on the web" list or even falls off entirely and goes to the "places to look when I want to derp around" list.
Though maybe not so long as I have this "view in your own style" thing going.
I have some other stuff, but I barely update any of it besides my facebook. And while I have some online friends there, it's mostly for keeping in touch with RL-friends. (In other words, most of what I post on facebook is in Swedish.)
