Like fertility, breastfeeding is one of those things you just assume you'll be able to do when the time comes. As a girl, all your life, you're told that you will have a baby, and depending on who raised you, you were probably told at some point that you will breastfeed that baby. So, what happens when it doesn't all pan out that way? What happens

Exactly! I know exactly what you are saying here. I'm finally feeling okay about it (most days), and figure I tried, some breast milk is better than nothing, and I was a formula baby and I turned out just fine, thank you!

Ok, who's been making you feel like shit for not having that 'picture perfect' breastfeeding relationship? They should be stoned.

Just remember that motherhood isn't about impressing other people. It's about doing what's best for your family.

I breast fed Amelia for 5 months..until I couldn't keep up w/ her hunger.. and still people made me feel like shit that I didn't go as long as they thought I should...

Screw everyone else... I think people just need something to complain about, and either way you are gonna take shit.

Dirty looks for exposing your breast in public to breastfeed... from scorns if you don't breastfeed....

There is no way of getting out of the pathway of dirty looks... so just Screw them all to hell..

No-one is a better woman than you. You have a beautiful baby boy who is being brought up in a happy and stable environment. No-one can pass judgement on you, especially not some random old trouts in a supermarket. If I took to heart every comment I got, I'd probably be dead. People are cruel, you've just got to learn to say FUCK YOU! and walk away with your head held high x
