Holy cow, but Eleanor Powell could really, really dance. And do a bunch of crazy highly-skilled tricks while she tap danced, too. Here she is with Red Skelton in 1943'a "I Dood It."

With the ropes, and the spins, and the ropes and JFC she lassoed that post like EIGHT TIMES in one take.
Was the entire dance sequence all one take, too? I think so. I didn't see any break-aways except at 4:14.

If they still made films that had amazing dance sequences, I'd go to the movies more often.
