Yew is also highly toxic and lethal to animals that browse on it.

Rowan is traditionally strong vs witchcraft and the supernatural. Older houses, particularly in Scotland, will often have a rowan planted nearby for protection.

The term for oak leaves is "lobes."

I had to learn all about Quercus Rober at Summer school a few years back. I couldn't describe the leaves either.

I think I have a book somewhere which has a good descriptive guide to leaf types- I could dig it out for you, if it's useful.
