On my way to school this morning, I was listening to my favorite morning radio show. They were asking for callers to discuss what they call their vulva/vagina, or what they have taught their daughters to say. Several women called in and said they called it "Susie." Also, a variant of this came up recently when people were complaining about the fact that hormonal birth control advertisements generally don't mention preventing pregnancy as their primary function. It's because of this law, as well. (Which is why the 10pm-6am hours on TV run different pill adverts that are explicit, as well as condom adverts).

I really don't get the whole "vagina is a dirty word" thing either. It's just a body part, for God's sake.
