Dear LATimes Blogs - Paris Hilton may be many things, many of which I wouldn't repeat in polite company, but how Chris Brown reacted is Chris Brown's fault - no one elses. Yours & etc.
So...Chris Brown pays inappropriate attention to Paris Hilton at a party...his girlfriend doesn't like it...and this somehow implicates Ms. Hilton in Brown beating up his girlfriend?
I'M SORRY LATIMES BLOGS, I WAS UNAWARE THAT I LIVED IN A CRAZY ALTERNATE UNIVERSE IN WHICH PARIS HILTON WAS ABLE TO MIND-CONTROL MEN INTO VICIOUSLY BEATING THEIR GIRLFRIENDS.
I suppose in their defense, they say that it's dumb to accuse Paris... but then they go and say it's her fault in the headline! MY HEAD CANNOT HANDLE THE CONTRADICTIONS!
My two favorite (and my favorite I mean most vomit inducing) things I have heard re this situation is along the lines of: "But Chris is such a GOOD GUY, he WOULD never ever ever ever ever do something like THAT!" (which inevitably comes from fans of his music, as if liking his music means you know exactly what type of person he is) and "Well you know those island women!" (essentially suggesting that because Rhianna is from Barbados that she is hot tempered and slutty. Seriously, what fucking century is this? wasn't this trope old in the fucking VICTORIAN time period?)

I like Rihanna. A lot. Not that it would be okay to do this to someone we've never heard of, but still...this makes me sad.
