WORD. And thank you so much.

By far my favorite parts of Season 1 are the parts with John in it (even though I agree with the Shut Up Daddy used on TV without pity--goddamn, John, you speechify a lot) largely because of his dynamic with Sam but also the way he fucks with Sam and Dean's relationship just by being there. I staunchly believe that both in canon (and definitely in the verse) Sam is John's favorite, and GOD do I love that scene where they're yelling at each other ("you're the one who closed that door, not me," because GUH there is soooo much anger and so much love and Christ, it's the best).

I know you dislike writing Sam POV, but I quite like your Sam POV. So you know.

Also, the scene when Sam was twelve! The start of John's Suspicions (TM)! (You wrote wee!chesters!) I also love Sam's blackmailing John to let him apply for college, and that last scene. Moments like that are so rare for Sam and John, aren't they?
