Interludes: Deleted Chapter

Here is the long promised deleted chapter from Blaine's dad's point of view.

Chronologically this happens sometime around Chapter 6/7.

I figured I'd post it along with the announcement that Overtures is coming! I'm going to post Chapter 1 this Sunday. It's going to be 12ish chapters long (but possibly more) and I'll be posting at least twice a week.

He totally equates love with knowing what's best, I think in part because he doesn't know how else to SHOW it. I think Blaine's dad has absolutely no idea how to show love. Makes me wonder how he ever got a nice lady like Blaine's Mom.

Also, in Overtures, I'm going to be giving them first names, so they'll be more than "Blaine's Mom" and "Blaine's Dad."

When I originally planned to post it, way back after chapter 6, it just really slowed down the narrative. So I figured I'd hold off and see if there was any interest in it after I was done.

And I decided that now was the time to post because of course he makes appearances in Overtures and I wanted everyone to have the background info.

Mr.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Like I've said before, I just love your Mr. A. I love the depth and sides that you have created to him. I often see that the parents that are most alike one of their children have the hardest time being able to calm their own inner turmoil, and often creates a super rocky relationship. I'd imagine that Mr. A has a lot of guilt for actually giving Blaine his stutter. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the Blangst. LOVE IT!

And, did I mention that I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED TO READ OVERTURES??? Because your story! Your story! It gives me all the feels.

My Ani song for Interludes was "Falling is Like This" in case you were wondering. I'm not actually familiar with those Ani lyrics you just hash tagged. BLASPHEMY. I'll be tracking that song down... Just from the lyrics alone, Work Your Way Out actually looks like a good song for this verse.

And I agree, the more alike parents are to their children, the harder time they have dealing with them. Which on another tangent about song lyrics, reminds me of Sometimes You Can't Make it on your own by U2, which is kind of a Blaine/Blaine's dad song to me. Go read those lyrics and try not to have Anderfeels.
