Oh, so very tired

Ok, so I'm going to bed in a few minutes. The lasagna didn't end up with as many people showing up as I had hoped/expected, but that's ok. Ruth being around has been good - a great excuse for not having to be at work today and therefore getting to be at both sermons. I had people round my house for Forum, and that was great as always. You could have talked in very obscure and badly worded sentences about the importance of the issue; how shoes, like other worldy objects, are, not in essence, but in spirit, what we have been (or will have been) predestined by the personal determinism that is the mystery of Grace: God's will being revealed to us as we consider the baser parts of faux snake skin ("and he shall trample on your head" echos the creation narrative) and tingling tootsies ( ... )

I whole-heartedly concur. While I buy in to the whole pre-sup arguement in that I refuse to argue my faith and know that I can't force anyone into seeing my worldview, I also don't buy it in that I think there is a way to communicate the truths about the Bible and God and faith, and do so on a practical level on a regualr basis.

I also totally agree with your approach to reading him - that's basically all I've done in Practical Theology this year... or in fact, ANY of my subjects. A bad attitude, but I thought surviving was a more important goal, generally.

my Birkis chaffe and give my blisters. It makes me sad. I'll never buy that style ever again. Only the full leather.
