I'm looking for suggestions for good restaurants in Denver that are fairly inexpensive (entree <$10) with good food. Like Tommy's Thai, but something besides the old standby. Any ideas?

There's a great Palestinian place that Ry and I ate once. He'd have to tell you what it was called though.

My favorites areSpicy Basil: Broadway and 1st-ish $9 huge entrees/super delicious
Benny's: Mexican, on 7th between Grant and Logan, quick and hearty.
Watercourseis yummy with funky decor, and all vegetarian, some vegan.

Right, Watercourse is the one I said was vegetarian, not Benny's or Spicy Basil.

A few that havent been listed yet, that arent bad:
Wahoo's
Illegal Petes
Beau Jo's (Not exactly downtown, at Colorado and Yale)

I got beaten to mentioning Jeruselum and Wolfe's, and nothing else particularly comes to mind.

you people are making me miss St. Louis and all its wonderful places to eat. Das Springs still needs to grow (lots) in the restaurant arena...

but this is a great list to tackle each time we head to Denver.

Thanks for starting this Shana!
