Firstly, I shall speal of the basketball game last night. It was fun, but they weren't selling any pizza! And it isn't just any kind of pizza. It's the best damn frozen pizza I've ever had. And why have I had only five slices or so? So you can possibly imagine how dissapointed I was to find that they weren't selling any ( Read more... )

I wouldn't spend your money just yet - D&D is releasing their new edition of books which means all the OLD books will be replaced and practically worthless (Well, unless you just play by the old rules and stick to your own campaign, but that would also depend on what your DM chose).

So basically, I wouldn't spend any cash on the books out there currently until the new one is released (4.0).

Plus, Bryan just told me that you can buy new D&D books (not the 4.0, but the version you currently play) at Overstock.com for the price you were looking at for the used books. Just so you know:D

Because I am not entirely adverse to the old books. Though that's quite interesting. I didn't know that the new books could be sold for such a price. Danke Schoen!...to you and Bryan.

Indeed! And again, it depends on the group you play with. If your group chooses to stick to the old rules then it works to your benefit (pocketbook and learning wise). For instance, when I play with B we use the rules that a 20 is a critical hit, my old vamp group played that a 1 was a "botch" and meant negative things happened to your character, and still other groups play that a 1 is a critical hit(I think this is the old school rule).
