Hay bbs. I'm new to most of Janet's work outside of The Velvet Rope, so I'm sure this discussion is old as hell - but I was listening to this song earlier, and I was SO CONVINCED that Carly's spoken parts were Michael! ive been meaning to beg you to send me some janet music over facebook. my school's music library has had her cds checked out constantly since the end of june, which is how i usually get music. i should look on bittorrent but i know youve been listening to her lately so i was going to beg you first

I want to get into more of Janet's music too. 'Someone To Call My Lover' was my favourite song in summer 2001.

I can't hear the Carly/Michael voice resemblance...maybe it's because (no offence because I love Carly) Carly has a manly sounding voice.

BTW After Janet sings the begining (...try to have their cake and eat it too) does anyone else hear a man say "Yes Ma'am". I've tried to have other people hear this but they can't.

I can hear a low 'Yes Ma'am', and I can hear it even better if I listen with headphones.

(Also, OP: I forgot to say in my comment that I do hear somewhat of a resemblance in their voices.)

I LOVE Janet. SFM. Rhythm Nation has to be my most played album. Ever.

And I was basically in heaven when Scream came out lol
